ST Tip - Logic - MIDI Picking Guitar

Welcome friends to an ST Tip. We’re in Logic Pro - putting a picking acoustic guitar in MIDI.

For this, I find it helpful to even out the velocity if I’ve played it in manually.

We can do this using the MIDI transform. Next, we want to make notes that are very close to each other or repeating legato, so we pick out our zones and use our ears along with the trim note end command. Finally we adjust the velocity of the down beat notes to make them a little harder. If we want to humanise it further, we can use the humanise command.
